In 1964. I was cast in the role
of "Marta Von Trapp" and was one of seven lucky young actors
in what many acclaim has become one of the greatest movies of all
time. The film,
'The Sound of Music' , starring Julie Andrews and Christopher
Plummer, and under the brilliant direction
and
production of Robert Wise and Saul Chaplin, was completed in twelve
month's time.
Little did we know that over four decades this movie would still be
playing for audiences of
new generations and that we would still share the chemistry and
friendship that brought
us together so many years ago. I consider my film sisters and
brothers my 'other' family.
