We are officially half way through summer and we are experiencing HOT temps in Minnesota! Make sure to keep your garden planters hydrated as this will not only keep them alive, but also helps the plants fight off damaging insects. If you find you have them anyway, you can use a systemic insecticide that goes into the soil or if it's just occasional pests, a brief spray each to,e you do your dead heading and regular plant maintenance will kppe your summer planters thriving!
We are finally in the thick of wedding season. The trending nuptual colors this year are the lovely subtle pale peaches, cream & white with a hint of mint and lavender. The heavy, heavy mountaind of eucalyptus are making way for a lighter and more colorful array of roses and mixes of pastel flowers such as freesia, hydrangea, peonies and garden roses.

I just returned from a wonderful visit to England to visit my daughter and grandson for the week. During my stay, I was invited to the local production of "The Sound of Music" at the oldest theater in England, celebrating its 200th year in 2019. The children were adorable and the cast was wonderful.
